I was just discussing things with my sister in law and her reaction was not really what I expected. So I figured I would ask elsewhere! My sister announced to our family last night during dinner that her son Ryan expressed strong feelings to become a girl to her and my brother in law. He is 16 and from the time he was a baby, we always knew he was different. He used to take his clothes off and dress in his sisters clothes. He has a fraternal twin sister named ReAnna and even she sees him as her sister. We kind of figured it would be coming along any day now but we never expected it to go this way. Ryan's parents are very supportive and are working with a doctor to go about the transition in a safe and constructive way. As a family, we all support him and will be here throughtout the process to do what we can. Ryan is now our little Rachelle :) However, my sister in law said there is no way she would support the situation and would seek shelter for him elsewhere if he were her son. She also said that if he chose to pursue his wish, she would cut off contact with him. I asked if this will affect our family's relationships and she said that no it would not but that she would be more cautious about her children (ages 4 and 7). I understand her feelings but do not feel the same way. If your son or daughter came to you with such feelings, how would you feel and what would you do?

Rash around toddlers mouth?

I have fraternal twins, 21 months. It seems after I wipe their faces after breakfast or a meal they get a rash around their mouth (little red bumps) they do seem to fade over a few hours. Months and months ago I thought they were getting binky rashes so I took all the right steps and it turns out it wasn't the case. I use a damp washcloth to clean them after meals, I use special washcloths that get washed in their hypo-allergenic detergent (I do put them in the 'bleachable' load to sanitize them, but when thats done I put the washcloths in the baby laundry-so any bleach is washed away). I thought it might be the washcloths (100%cotton) but I have seen this with dry paper towels, too. They don't have an appointment with the pedi for a few months, and I don't think its worth going in for right now, just wondering if you have ever seen this or had any ideas? Thanx!

Autism in newborns-3 week old twins?

I just had fraternal twins 3 weeks ago, and although she is only 3 weeks old, my daughter seems to be too good and we are concerned that she may have problems. My son, is showing signs of being able to hear our voices and look in that direction but my daughter seems to constantly be looking out into space. She doesn't look towards sounds or anything. She hardly ever cries, except when she's really hungry she will cry pretty loudly depending how fast I can get her bottle. She doesn't cry when shes being changed or having a bath. Did you ever find out more detail? I am torn right now. I was pregnant with fraternal twins when one sac broke at 12 weeks. Because this sac broke, it caused an infection to the other sac which also broke one week later at 16 weeks. I had a D&C last night and I am not emotionally hurting. Is something wrong with my TV?

I have a Hitachi 55 inch rear projection TV and it has developed a blue haze that covers part of the screen. It seems that the blue spot occasionally changes and moves. Looking for a place of Spiritual Growth?

First off, the question is a little vague. To expand I have always had the urge to travel to a Buddhist temple in the search of myself. My spiritual self that is. 2 yr old's life jacket strap blistered inner leg...suggestions on healing it?

My husband allowed our son to swim the other day with just the life jacket on and swim diaper, instead of his swim trunks. He said they were in the pool for about 2 hours. When he got him out he realized the life jacket strap that goes between his legs had rubbed on him and he has about a 2 inch in length blister. Its in the inner part of his legs...really really close to his private. if your going to try to tell me astral traveling isn't real than don't bother i've spontaneously done it before. However now i'm trying to do it on purpose and i can't. Why do I get so cold sometimes?

Sometimes I get cold for no apparent reason. Doctor says my iron levels are very good, and I don't use any drugs that would make me feel cold =P lol but sometimes I just feel freezing. It was a sleepover, for a birthday party of my friend Holly. She had three girls in the room along with her. Grandparent's treatment of my children?

Do I need to get a Chicken Pox Vaccination im 22?

Hi I am 12 weeks, 5 days pregnant with fraternal twins. The nurse today said it looks like I am having two girls. She pointed at the bottom one and said, "See there's nothing in between the legs".
