No, because they're too fanatical. What I find about Republicans, particularly Tea Party Republicans, is that they have convinced themselves that the world should work a certain way, and they're not interested in learning anything that would tell them differently. They tend to favor doing whatever it takes, even if it's dishonest or illegal, to achieve their goals. They are definitely "ends justify the means" people.
