Miscarriage at 11 weeks? Natural miscarriage? Twins?

Someone I know had a miscarriage today at 11 weeks. She was carrying twins. Apparently fraternal, so two eggs (and I'm assuming 2 placentas). Do they have to go in and take it out (I haven't talked to her, so I don't know what the doc said)? Should there be a funeral? What happens?
